LEA and EYDCP Programmes
|
|
Presently we
deliver our own training programme in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and
Dudley. We also provide training packages for the EYDCPs in Telford and
Wrekin, Walsall, Dudley, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Northumberland. CEC also
delivers training for Newcastle University and the University of Wales at
their Wrexham campus. Currently we are in negotiation with Paul Chapman
publications who are interested in commissioning us to write four books
based on early years practice and support for practitioners.

|
Below is a list of
our current training programme for the year 2006-2007 that will give you
an idea of current themes and topics. These are outlines and you can
extract and combine any elements that you are interested in to make a
format that suits the needs of your practitioners.

We try to
accompany all the training on offer with a CD containing high
quality, practical and manageable materials and resources that have been
tried and tested in school. The aim being that practitioners can utilise all of the resources they
have seen immediately. Where possible the provision of the CD is included
in the delegate rate. Having had a number of requests for other course
materials by colleagues and course delegates we can now offer an enhanced range
of materials and resources for sale on CD.
|
|
Recently we have
finished a scheme of work and profiling system that incorporates the
Stepping Stones and Early Learning Goals from the ‘Curriculum Guidance
for the Foundation Stage’, as well as the statements within the new
Foundation Stage profile. This is available on CD and may be implemented
across a whole LEA or EYDCP with or without additional support,
consultancy and training.
